A Connecting
Idea

GENIA grew from a promise and a shared belief:
learning becomes especially powerful when people encounter one another.

The idea emerged in the context of the European Forum Alpbach and was first explored through educational programmes with children and young people. Virtual encounters with experts from diverse disciplines opened up new perspectives and demonstrated how strongly dialogue and inspiration can enrich learning in schools.

Choose an expert
GENIA provides access to an international network of experts. Select the person whose experience and perspective will meaningfully enrich your teaching.
Prepare the encounter
GENIA supports the didactic preparation with impulses, guiding questions and materials that help embed the encounter into the classroom context and actively involve learners.
Experience dialogue
The encounter usually takes place virtually. Learners ask questions, engage in dialogue and gain authentic insights into real-life and professional fields.
Deepen and reflect
After the encounter, the impulses can be revisited, reflected upon and further explored together. GENIA provides accompanying materials and pedagogical support for this process.
